Heat Soaked Glass

Heat Soaked treatment is also called homogenization treatment, commonly known as "detonation". Heat Soaked treatment is to heat the tempered glass to 290ºC±10ºC and keep it for a certain period of time to promote the rapid completion of the crystal phase transformation of nickel sulfide in the tempered glass, so that the tempered glass that may explode after use is artificially broken in advance in the factory. In the Heat Soaked furnace, the self-explosion of the tempered glass in use after installation is reduced. This method generally uses hot air as the heating medium. It is called "HeatSoakTest", or HST for short, literally translated as Heat Soaked treatment.

1. Good Safety

If the glass break, Tempered Glass considerably reduces the risk of injury as it fragments into small pieces with dulled edges.
2. Good Impact Resistance Tempered Glass is approximately five times more resistant than normal glass. For example, a piece of 8mm toughened glass will be able to withstand a steel ball weighing 500g dropped from a height of 2 meters. For comparison, normal annealed glass 0.4m.
3. Good Bending Strength Tempered Glass is significantly more resistant to flexural stresses than annealed glass. This resistance is characterized by a bending strength in the region of 120 Mpa.
